I was tempted to buy one of the three books by Spoonflower.com as I have a storefront there, but they are pricey. I was cruising for other options and I hit on this one after weeding through reviews and prices. What a winning find! It is a tabletop-sized paperback with a thick cover & a thickish glossy/mat mix of 176 colorful pages. It looks brand new though I think it was formerly a display book. Packed with contemporary patterns by multiple featured designers adds a welcomed diverse spark to this playful collection. I was especially seeking input about seamless repeats as there are oodles of tutorials online and I wanted to hold a 3D book in my own hands while wishing for insights from bonafide professionals (whew! luckily I proofread, my tablet switched "bonified" to "homicide"...honestly no one was harmed in the process of this review). Author, Khristian A. Howell, presents as a Pattern Maker Master & this inspiring/educational work does not disappoint. Just patterned (was gonna say just plain) FUN! I counted 15 lessons about repeats including; by hand, Adobe ai & ps instructions. Thanks to the seller and Amazon for this sweet deal. btw: Prime is such a user-friendly program! We get frequent deliveries in one or two days and they are always well packed. How do they manage the vast volume and consistent quaility? Did I mention economical? Clueless here.Cheers and don't forget to let your thumb do the rating. It's all good!PS: It arrived early & right before a lengthy chemo. treatment. I especially enjoyed this engaging distraction.
This a wonderfully written book and the projects within the book are mean to make you explore all the patterns that we may overlook on a daily basis. I plan on building my design portfolio with this book. I also love the tone the writer takes in how she approaches the process and what to look for while we are exploring.
It is all about experiment with patterns and dreams.This is practical quide how to realize your wishes in reality design.
Great book. Can't wait to finish it. But overall I'm supper happy I founded through a teacher in skill share that said we should definitely get this. So I did. And I'm happy with my purchase
